Description:
Atlantic City Mercantile in Atlantic City, Wyoming, began in 1893 as a general store built by Lawrence Geissler to serve the busy gold rush community and later housed the post office and telephone exchange before closing in 1929. It reopened in 1964 as a tavern and eventually became the restaurant and bar visitors know today, keeping much of its historic frontier charm. Guests love its hearty American comfort food, especially the aspen fired steaks, burgers, cowboy beans, and other classic dishes served in a warm and rustic setting.
