This beautiful historic structure was built in 1909, originally intended as bachelor officers' quarters. These cavalry troops protected the park before the National Park Service was created. The visitor center includes exhibits, interactive displays, and a bookstore/gift shop. This is where you purchase permits and meet for tours as well. You can find it on Grand Loop Rd. between Barracks St. and Officers Row.
