The House on the Rock

Saves: 35
Check-ins: 7
Designed by Alex Jordan, Jr. in 1945, this house is a series of distinctive rooms - a paradoxical organized madhouse. Deceptively built in a bucolic setting, the House on the Rock houses the oddest carousel in the world - with naked lady centaurs and cherubs riding elephants. Unfortunately, this carousel is not for riding, only for looking. The other noteworthy peculiarity is the "Heritage of the Sea" in which lives a 200-foot-long Loch Ness monster who has a love/hate relationship with an equally giant squid. The estate provides lodgings which aren't unreasonable when you take into consideration the amenities included such as a golf course and nearby attractions like Taliesin and Tower Hill State Park.
