Pinky the Pink Elephant

To put an obscure town on the map an adorably conspicuous mascot is sometimes needed. Enter Pinky the Pink Elephant, a wrinkly, tusked, bespectacled behemoth that lives next to a Park and Ride stop and a Shell station. The station sells plenty of Pinky souvenirs, commemorating this giant mammal's continued vigilance since the 1960s. (Submitted by Brianna Duddy)
