Milwaukee Art Museum

Established in 1882, this museum was the result of a concerted effort to bring art and culture to Milwaukee. It started with the donation of a private collection but has grown to include over 35,000 works of art today - from ancient civilizations to modern-day. The most prized collection is by Georgia O'Keefe who was born in Wisconsin. The museum possesses the largest number of her paintings in the world.
