Tree of Life

Also known as the Tree Root Cave this singular tree's visible roots can be seen growing out of the entrance with no apparent source of soil or nutrition to fuel its existence. It's a miracle that it is still standing as violent storms in the are have uprooted trees that were firmly in place. Also known as the Kalaloch Tree this Sitka spruce has thick roots that grip the ground on top of the cave. The tree is easily accessible requiring only a minimal hike with the Kalaloch trail head right off of the 101 Highway.
