Description:
The Garbage Goat is one of Spokane’s quirkiest landmarks, a metal goat sculpture in Riverfront Park that actually “eats” trash using a built-in vacuum. Created in 1974 for the environmentally themed Expo ’74, it was designed to make cleaning up litter fun and interactive, especially for kids. Today, this playful public art piece has become a beloved local icon and a must-see stop where visitors can literally feed their garbage to a goat.
