Description:
Tucked into Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, the legendary Spite House proves that good things come in very small packages. Built in 1830 by John Hollensbury, the tiny home was reportedly constructed to block loiterers and wagon traffic from using the alley beside his property. At just over 7 feet wide, this quirky landmark has become one of Alexandria’s most photographed attractions and a lasting reminder that sometimes a little spite can make history.
