Claudius Crozet Blue Ridge Tunnel

Saves: 44
Check-ins: 3
This historic railroad tunnel was open for less than a hundred years, finally closing in 1944. Named for the Frenchman who designed and engineered it, the tunnel was the longest of its kind when it was finally finished in 1858. Although it is not open to the public at this time, construction is currently underway to build trails for hikers and cyclists.
