The "Beetlejuice" Covered Bridge

The red covered bridge in the 1988 film "Beetlejuice" was the catalyst for the plot where the Maitlands (played by Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin) die in a tragic car accident. What you would actually see is a paved concrete road that crosses a narrow stream. The bridge like the Maitland's house was built for the movie and then disassembled after filming was complete. South of the bridge you can find the plot of land on which the studio built the Maitland house.
