Queen Connie

Queen Connie is the female counterpart of King Kong. She is a giant grey concrete gorilla holding a real VW Beetle aloft in one hand. The other arm hangs at her side, the hand stretched flat and parallel to the earth - palm facing up. Visitors take advantage of the flat palm sitting on it for Fay Wray-style photo opps. Just be careful - some have toppled unceremoniously off of the hand and onto the ground. (Photo by Al Ducote)
