Henry J. Faust, a German native, ventured to California from Missouri during the 1849 Gold Rush in search of fortune. However, his pursuits didn't yield much success. After becoming a member of the Mormon Church, he moved to Utah in 1851. By 1860, Faust found a new opportunity and took on the role of a station manager and occasional rider for the Pony Express, managing Faust Station. (Submitted by Bryan Luoma)
