The Dark Angel is a rock formation is located in the western section of Arches National Park. It's a tall sandstone pillar that stands approximately 150 feet high with a narrow base and a wider top. The rock formation got its name due to its dark appearance which contrasts with the surrounding red sandstone. You can hike to the base of Dark Angel via the Devils Garden Trail which is a popular hiking trail in the park.
