Description:

The statue originally named "Genius of Telegraphy" by Evelyn Beatrice Longman is formally known as the "Spirit of Communication." Since its completion in 1916, this statue has served as the symbol for AT&T (and its former entity, Western Electric). Over time, it has also been informally referred to as the "Golden Boy" statue and previously known as the "Genius of Electricity."
