Italian POW Camp Chapel

One of 79 POW camps in Texas, this one held 5,000 Italian POWs from North Africa during WWII. They lived and worked here, contributing to the local agricultural needs. Many had artistic talents which they used to carve intricate designs into the woodwork as well as bringing the Italian fresco to this tiny community. This is a must-see for WWII history buffs!
