Boxcar Rocks is a unique rock formation located just off of Gold Mine Road near Jonestown, PA. The rocks are a popular attraction for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts due to their unusual appearance and scenic views of the surrounding area. The formation is made up of large boulders that have been stacked on top of each other to create a kind of natural fortress. To get to the rocks park at the Boxcar Road Parking Lot. Take Boxcar Road (an unmaintained dirt road closed to vehicles) east. When you reach the evergreen trees on the right, look for a break in the trees and take the windy trail to the rocks.
