Description:

Completed in 1956, the Price Tower in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, is the only fully realized skyscraper ever designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Commissioned by oil pipeline executive Harold C. Price Sr., the 19-story tower was based on a design Wright originally created for a New York City apartment building in the 1920s that was never constructed. Wright famously nicknamed it “the tree that escaped the crowded forest,” and today it remains one of Oklahoma’s most celebrated architectural landmarks.
