Mount Scott

The 6-mile loop may be a bit longer than most visitors are planning for but it's well worth the view from the second tallest peak in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. A variety of animals also reside here so bring your camera and be ready to capture longhorns, elk, and deer as they go about their daily activities in this safety of this preserve. If you go in the spring, you'll be lucky enough to catch glimpses of newborns and young calves.

View from the drive up Mt. Scott. This was taken about half-way up. You can see the windmills off in the distance.
Summit of Mount Scott with my love! 🥰⛰️💚
We were here on a cloudy, rainy day too! Up in the clouds! ☁️
