Four-Headed Thunderbird Statue

This amazing statue built by students represents the four archetypes of the thunderbird myth. The four giant thunderbird heads are placed in a circle, eyes outward. Seemingly holding up the structure are giant talons. The statue is 15 feet wide and 30 feet across. It has a terrible beauty to it - arresting but at the same time disturbing - just as all the best works of art are. (Photo by Bryan Luoma)
