Moores Creek National Battlefield

Moores Creek National Battlefield, located near Currie, North Carolina commemorates the pivotal Battle of Moores Creek Bridge that occurred on February 27, 1776, during the American Revolution. In this battle, North Carolina Patriots successfully defended the bridge against Loyalist forces, slowing the British advance in the South and boosting Patriot morale.
