Fryingpan Mountain Lookout Tower

Saves: 37
Check-ins: 3
The 1.5-mile hike is good for most skill levels with its gradual incline. It ends at the summit which has a fire tower built in 1941 by the U.S. Forest service. For stunning photos you can climb the tower for a 360 degree view. Visitors say that sunrise and sunset are equally glorious but autumn with its splash of red, brown, and gold is one of the best seasons to take photos. To get there take Hwy 276 to Blue Ridge Pkwy and head northwest.
