Charging Bull Statue

A symbol of American prosperity and optimism, this bronze charging bull has been a fixture on Wall Street since 1987 when artist Arturo Di Modica placed it there proactively. Perhaps Di Modica's actions, which were not authorized by the city of New York, were also a symbol of the individualist spirit that is a trademark of the U.S. The intact bovine is a tourist attraction for millions around the world who flock to its location to take pictures - especially near its back end.
