Description:

The Turquoise Museum, situated in a castle-like former residence in downtown Albuquerque, showcases what is believed to be the world’s largest collection of turquoise, including rare specimens drawn from more than 80 to 90 mines around the globe. Opened in 1993 by the Lowry family, a lineage with five generations in turquoise mining, the museum blends science, art, history, and culture into immersive self-guided and guided exhibits, including live lapidary and jewelry demonstrations. Located at 400 2nd Street SW, it offers a captivating, educational experience in a setting rich with architectural charm and curated storytelling.
