Ice Cave and Bandera Volcano

10,000 years ago the Bandera Volcano's huge eruption caused a deep dent in the earth - about 1,400 feet wide and 800 feet deep. Inside one of its collapsed lava tubes is a section that hovers just below 0 degrees Celsius - basically the freezing point of water. This unique natural phenomenon is the result of a very rare set of combined circumstances. The park is open from 9 AM to 6 PM and costs around $12 per person for entry. For a little more you can pan for gemstones or arrowheads.
