In 1940 Albert Einstein became an American citizen. He was born in 1879 within the boundaries of the German Empire and as luck would have it, was visiting the U.S. in 1933 when Hitler came to power. He lived in this house from 1935 to 1955, the year he died. Before Einstein, Nobel Prize winner and physicist, Frank Wilczek, lived here. It's a private residence and is not open to the public. However, the house is easily seen from the street. (Submitted by Mrs. H)
