Ashuelot Covered Bridge

Saves: 3
Check-ins: 2
Built towards the end of the Civil War in 1864-1865, this long covered bridge is one of the few to survive from the 19th century. It's characterized by a lattice truss and a red roof. The bridge spans a total of 178 feet with sidewalks on either side. Lovely views of the river and trees provide peace and relaxation. There's no parking lot, so past visitors recommend parking further up on NH-119 and walking back down to the bridge. (Submitted by Shirley Beauchemin Thurston)
