About three-quarters of the way into the White Dome Loop Trail, you’ll spot the famous Iguana Rock on the left side of the path. From a distance, it looks just like an iguana perched in the desert. As you get closer, the illusion fades and you’ll realize it’s actually two separate rock formations sitting side by side. Up close, they’re simply two rugged rocks rising out of the landscape, but the visual trick from afar is what makes this spot so memorable.
