World’s Largest Porch Swing

This über-porch swing isn't so large as it is long. It's of standard height, but the seat length is 32 feet, enough to squeeze in 18 adults or 24 children comfortably. It was built in 1985, but was moved to Roosevelt Park in 1991. The lengthy porch swing is covered so that people can enjoy it year-round no matter the weather conditions. The park is open 24/7 even when the visitor's center is closed. The porch swing is located on the southeast corner of the park where Jefferson Ave. and S 5th St. cross.
