The elegant neoclassical building which is the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is known for its beautiful architecture and grounds. However, it's also known for the oddly chosen sculptures on its emerald green lawn. Four giant shuttlecocks are scattered on the lawn as if some giant badminton player tossed them carelessly after a bad game. The idea of the sculptures is not as random as one would think - the inspiration came from a painting housed in the museum.
