USS Inaugural Shipwreck

Saves: 30
Check-ins: 16
The story of the USS "Inaugural" is quite sad. She was a minesweeper and served successfully in the Pacific Theater of WWII. After the war, she was retired as a museum ship. A severe flood broke her loose from her moorings and she was grounded a mile downstream. Now, only her hull is visible above water. Since she has thus been declared a total loss and salvaging her is impossible, she was also stricken from the Landmark List. Indeed, a tragic end to a mighty warship.
