Harry S. Truman House

Operated by the National Park Service, the Harry S. Truman NHS has not only the home of the 33rd U.S. President but also the homes of some of his family members on the grounds. The homes went through extensive renovations and restorations. Truman lived in the Gates-Wallace Home from the time he was married until his death. This white home, although pretty, shows how Truman remained humble and lived simply - even though he led the U.S. through a time of great international strife.
