A small garden on the University of Southern Mississippi campus has many pieces of Native American artwork. The plants are native to Mississippi and were often used as medicinal herbs by the tribes who once inhabited the area. There are also plants that were used in dyes and food. It is an ongoing project of the university to bring back the culture of the Native American tribes. The garden can be accessed 24/7. (Submitted by Amanda Harris)
