Matt's Bar and Grill

In 1954, Matt's Bar & Grill, now an iconic Minneapolis establishment, originated as a neighborhood burger joint. The inception of the legendary "Jucy Lucy" occurred shortly after opening, as founder Matt Bristol narrates. A local customer's request for two hamburger patties with a slice of cheese in the middle gave birth to this molten hot sensation. Upon biting into the innovative creation, the customer enthusiastically declared, "that's one juicy Lucy," cementing its status as a culinary legend. With rapid customer demand, the spelling evolved sans the "i," turning the "Jucy Lucy" into a celebrated local hero. Just beware, a correctly spelled version might just be a shameless copycat!
