The Keweenaw Snow Thermometer

Michigan is one of the coldest states in the lower 48 and this giant thermometer proves it. The measurements are made in feet rather than mmHg, giving you an idea of just how much snowfall Michigan has had in the past. It's also a nice rest area, although according to the thermometer summer is probably much more pleasant. (Submitted by Crystal A Augustine)
