Mission Point Lighthouse

Saves: 10
Check-ins: 5
This pretty lighthouse, complete with keeper's quarters, is situated on the northeastern end of Lake Michigan. It was decommissioned in 1933, but offers visitors a peek at what life was like at the end of the 19th century for lighthouse keepers. When the lighthouse is open, you can join in on a guided tour. If it's closed, there will be no parking available from the road, but you can still see the lighthouse by boat from the lake. (Submitted by Rebecca Ostlund)

My husband and I had our engagement photos taken here! đź’™
It’s even pretty in the wintertime! The lake usually freezes over and you can snowshoe out onto it.
