Description:

Once a highly productive iron-smelting town in the region, immigrants from Europe and Canada made a home here. The factory closed its doors in 1891 leading to the abandonment of the town. Now it is an open-air living museum where people can walk through the old town with its restored buildings. Also here at this historic state park are hiking trails and camping areas.
