Devil's Backbone County Park

Don't let the name fool you - this is a peaceful place to spend the day. Hiking trails, play areas, and plenty of trees next to the creek make it a favorite among locals. You can fish, kayak, rent a pavilion, or let the kids scamper about the playground. Weekends and holidays tend to be busy; plan on getting there early during these times. (Submitted by Roxanne Mohr)
