Giant L.L. Bean Boot

Located in front of the flagship LL Bean store, this boot (sometimes known affectionately as the "duck boot") perhaps put Maine on the map. It was originally designed as a hunting boot which would withstand the rain showers and biting winters in Maine. The giant boot is strikingly similar to the real thing; in fact, not much difference can be found other than its gargantuan size. (Submitted by Shirley Beauchemin Thurston)
