Birdsacre Sanctuary

Located on a historic site, Stanwood Wildlife Sanctuary also contains a house museum once owned by ornithologist Cordelia Stanwood. Three miles of beautiful trails are surrounded by forests and intertwine with streams and green slopes. This sublime place is home to native Maine flora as well as migrating birds who stop here in the warmer months. (Submitted by Shirley Beauchemin Thurston)
