How does an offshore oil rig work? If you're interested, then this tour is for you! A tour guide will take you onto the rig and explain how the various types of offshore oil rigs work both for exploration as well as production. You'll learn about the different drill bits used for various rig types (fixed, floating, or a combination of both). And, you'll see the sleeping and eating quarters and what life is like working on the rig. This rig is functional but it's used only for training. After an inside tour you will be taken on a tour outside on the deck area. Here drilling and a remote operated submarine will be demonstrated. The tour lasts about 1.5  hours. One word of warning, however, there are quite a few stairs involved on this tour.
