Café Du Monde

You might have seen those yellow cans of coffee in the supermarket labeled with "Café du Monde" - a blend of coffee and chicory which originates from New Orleans. Here is the eponymous cafe which lent its name to the coffee, but is also known for delicious, fried breakfast beignets dusted with a generous coating of powdered sugar. A trip to New Orleans is not complete until you've stopped here for beignets and a cup of coffee. (Submitted by Anthony Von Plinsky)
