Bienville's Monument

Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville, born in Montreal, founded what would be known as the "Big Easy" in 1717. This marker was erected in 1955, created by Angela Gregory, known as the doyenne of Louisiana sculpture. Bienville's monument is within walking distance of eight other historical markers.
