Historic Boone Tavern Hotel & Restaurant opened in 1909 to accommodate the many visitors traveling to Berea College, using bricks made by students and crafted by the college’s Woodwork Department. Designed by the New York firm Cady and See, the hotel quickly became a welcoming gathering place known for its Southern hospitality. Over the years it expanded from 25 to 63 rooms and underwent several renovations, including a major restoration in 2009. Today it remains an important Kentucky landmark that blends historic charm with modern comfort.
