Description:
The Buffalo Bill Cultural Center in Oakley, Kansas, honors the legacy of William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody, who earned his nickname nearby in an 1868 buffalo hunting contest. A highlight is the massive bronze sculpture of Cody on horseback chasing a buffalo, recognized as one of the "8 Wonders of Kansas Art." Inside, the center features exhibits on Cody’s life, the American frontier, and interactive displays for kids. It also serves as a travel stop with visitor information, a gift shop, and pet-friendly amenities.
