Tree Of Five Seasons

A biblical allusion, the "five seasons" is taken from the Book of Ecclesiastes - possibly one of the most famous verses thanks to The Byrds song "Turn, Turn, Turn." Cedar Rapids has nicknamed themselves the City of Five Seasons, the fifth of which is to enjoy the other four. To reinforce their chosen sobriquet this 61-foot steel tree - designed by Gary Anderson - was installed in 1996. (Submitted by Sofia Bullins)
