Opened in 1914 as Weeghman Park, Wrigley Field is one of the oldest and most iconic ballparks in America, serving as the home of the Chicago Cubs since 1916. The stadium was renamed Wrigley Field in 1927 after chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr., and over the years became famous for its hand-operated scoreboard, ivy-covered outfield walls, and classic baseball atmosphere. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 2020, Wrigley Field remains a beloved symbol of Chicago sports history and the site of the Cubs' historic 2016 World Series championship.
