The Morton Arboretum

The mission of this nonprofit is simple - plant trees and keep Earth green and clean. To accomplish this mission, 1,700 acres of land are filled with trees, gardens, and even a tallgrass prairie. There are over 200,000 catalogued plants in existence here. Check the website calendar for special events such as wine tastings, bulb sales, and culinary festivals! Admission is usually $15 for most people and parking is included in the price. If you want to spend a little less, Wednesdays are always discounted.
