Description:
A beautifully restored 1930s Texaco station helped countless travelers finish their journey on Route 66. It was known by two names - Ambler's Texaco and Becker's Marathon Gas Station. It is also known as the longest-running Route 66 station, fittingly in service for 66 years until it closed down in 1999. It is now a visitor's center complete with a potbelly stove, old soda bottles, and a vintage cash register inside. For information about business hours call 815-584-3077.
