Description:
Shoshone Falls is on the Snake River, a natural marvel formed by flooding during the Pleistocene ice age. This was an important fishing and trading center for Native Americans who lived 14,000 years ago. In more recent years, Evel Knievel tried unsuccessfully to jump over the falls in 1974.
