Description:

Though Honaunau Bay is only one of several places to spot Green Sea Turtles on the Big Island it’s generally considered to be the best. Its calm, crystal waters are sheltered from coastal swells, providing a clear glimpse at the sea life therein. Not only do the turtles (which are on the endangered species list) flock here, but they’ve grown accustomed to the presence of curious humans, giving everyone a chance to observe these good-natured and fascinating creatures up close. Observing, however, does not mean touching or feeding! Eyes only, please.
